The members of Robard’s Medical Advisory Panel are well-respected, highly trained experts in the field of obesity treatment who actively treat overweight and/or obese patients. In addition to continually reviewing and enhancing our obesity treatment protocols, they consult with Robard customers to advance modern approaches for evidenced-based patient management and treatment.

Meet the experts who designed our programs and products.

Medical Director

Dr. John Hernried is the President & Medical Director of The Hernried Center for Medical Weight Loss in Sacramento, California. Dr. Hernried brings to The Hernried Center both a deep, caring interest and extensive experience in the treatment of obesity and its complications.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine, Dr. Hernried is also a member of the Obesity Society, American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is also a well-known area lecturer on new topics in obesity.

Dr. Hernried has been listed as a “Top Doctor” in Sacramento Magazine, Solano Magazine and The Davis Enterprise. He is a graduate of Texas Tech School of Medicine, and did his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis. He has been Medical Director at The Hernried Center since 1999, while also practicing internal medicine at Sutter West Medical Group (1994-1999) and at Kaiser Permanente, and works as a Hospital Medicine Specialist at Sutter Medical Center.



Dr. Christopher Case is a board-certified endocrinologist in Jefferson City, Missouri, practicing at Jefferson City Medical Group. He received his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine; completed his residency at St. Louis University; and did his fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine and at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

As an endocrinologist, Dr. Case cares for patients with diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, cholesterol disorders, and diseases of the thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary glands. During his fellowship he concentrated on obesity, weight loss, metabolic syndrome, and new developments in cardiovascular disease prevention. He also has an interest in clinical research as part of patient care.



Dr. Peter Howard Jones is the Medical Director for the Weight Management Center at Houston Methodist Hospital, and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Center for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention, at the Baylor College of Medicine. He also serves as co-director of the Lipid Metabolism and Atherosclerosis Clinic.

He earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine, completed his internship and residency at Baylor Affiliated Hospitals, and was Chief Medical Resident at Ben Taub General Hospital, also in Houston.

Dr. Jones is board certified in Internal Medicine and by the American Board of Clinical Lipidology.



Dr. Phillip Snider is a bariatric physician at The Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, PA.  He is board-certified in family medicine and received his medical degree and fellowship training from Midwestern University at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. He completed his residency with Scottsdale Healthcare in Scottsdale, Arizona and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.

Prior to medical school, he was a personal trainer and a dietitian for 10 years, and he is certified as a bariatrician by the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

In addition to Dr. Snider’s clinical role at Guthrie, he is their Chief Medical Information Officer.
